The `start` frame and the reconnect baseline attempt carried a wall-clock
`startedTime` that no Host or Client consumer read: the Host accumulator
and the Client reconciler copied it into their attempt maps and nothing
looked at it again. Presentation frames now carry only the coordinates
consumers use (attempt, revision, turn, step, chunk index, and v1 seq
provenance); the type-equivalence block, event graph, READMEs, and the
live-stream Agent Note follow the type.
The persistence seam is now create/open/stat/list returning per-session
SessionHandles (read/append/flush/close); every log read and write flows
through the owning handle. The seam package exports only the service and
handle contracts, consumer-visible errors, and pure durable-data
validation helpers; each backend owns its complete storage runtime, and
the shared contract suites pin equivalent observable behavior. The
backend routes published sessions' live events by id into the active
write handle; agent-loop only acquires, seeds, and closes the handle.
Resume appends interruptedTurnClosers through its write handle;
session-query owns the revision-keyed cold cache. Legacy-only surfaces
are removed in the same swap: locate/readRaw/supportsRawArtifacts, the
legacy event-shape read migration, zstd torn-frame salvage,
DSH_SESSION_JSONL, and hook transcript_path population; a torn final
zstd frame is discarded whole; the session-list cold blank probe returns
on stat metadata (eventCount derived from the last physical row,
sizeBytes). The WebUI ZIP export serializes the logical log from a read
handle, so both backends export identically.
Refs #3245
Render reconstructable system prompts at each request-series boundary, preserve series declarations through pre-step wrappers, and keep the presentation and replay snapshots aligned across clients.
- llm-retry: validate config before registering the projection unit;
document the branded-retry-id zod cast; start stateVersion at 1.
- agent-loop: register turnBoundary only after every config validation,
so a rejected constructor leaves no unit behind; the defensive-cap
test no longer needs fiber cleanup.
- agent-instructions: keep newest-first per-scope change history so the
latest visible change survives a surface replacement shadowing the
newest one (restores the previous scan-visible semantics); add a
regression test for the delete-after-shadow sequence.
- tool-skill: keep catalog-message history so a shadowed newest catalog
message still falls back to the latest visible digest.
- session-query-sqlite: drop the unused required sessionProjections
injection.
- plan-mode: restore the command/done error-drop regression test and the
cold-replay command/done fold; drop the inaccurate state-reference
comment.
- tool-todo: remove a stray blank line; document the turnBoundary
reader contract on the projection type.
Resolves the vendored-package rescope (cordis -> @deepseek-ai/cordis,
schemastery -> @deepseek-ai/schemastery) against this branch's settings
namespaces: the bash capability namespace, its two executors' section
installs, and the new plugin-config client package all move to the scoped
specifiers.
Machine-produced by `pnpm run rescope-vendor --apply` plus the regeneration it
prints: `pnpm install` for the lockfile, `pnpm run gen-third-party-notices`,
`verify-translation-pairing --write` for the touched bilingual pairs,
`gen-doc-graphs`, and one typert snapshot whose ids embed character offsets.
`pnpm run rescope-vendor --check` verifies the result.
Renames nine vendored packages (cordis, cosmokit, schemastery and the six
@cordisjs plugins) and every reference that resolves them: manifest names and
dependency keys, module specifiers including declare-module merges, cordis.yml
plugin names, tsconfig paths, every Markdown fence, and `docs/` prose.
Directory names, upstream versions, and dependency ranges are unchanged, so
vendor/README.md still reads as an upstream snapshot; its manifest table gains
an upstream-name column so THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES keeps MIT attribution pointed
at each fork's origin.
The tutorial tier follows the rename end to end: its yaml fences named plugins
the Loader can no longer resolve, its `ts ignore-check` fences disagreed with
the compiled fences beside them, and its prose quoted both. The contracts that
told readers to keep upstream names — the root convention and the vendoring
cookbook's tree comment and manifest invariant — now say to rescope instead.
Two rules read `@deepseek-ai/` as "another workspace plugin": the client bundle
purity gate now names the vendored libraries a browser bundle inlines, and the
files where a bare `cordis` is an agent-preset id keep that product data.
The section is a strict subset of the plugin config: `agents` is consumed
once when the service starts, so a stored change there could only look like
it had an effect. The cap resolves through a getter over the settings source,
which the scheduler destructures at the start of each tool group, so a
committed change bounds the next group without disturbing the one in flight.
`resolveMaxParallelToolCalls` becomes the section validator, refusing a value
at the write instead of at that group.
The deferred-resume effect-shape assertion now allows the one plugin effect
the optional settings wiring adds at the fiber's own level; a resumed agent
joining it there is still the regression it pins.
Review round findings:
- Clear the streaming attempt before the request-error waterfall: a cancel
landing during recovery (typically the llm/retry backoff, after clients
reset the streamed rendering) must not resurrect the failed stream's
prefix. Provider failures commit nothing, now including that window.
- Record interrupted: true on the cancellation-finalized assistant/message.
The chat projection keeps the settled prefix classified as interrupted
(Stopped chip, restored web goldens), and request inspection leaves the
request uncompleted so the step boundary classifies it as before.
- Pin the recovery-window and retry-discard semantics with content-bearing
failed streams in cancel.spec; update the ACP late-end expectation to the
finalized-prefix transcript.
- Mention interruptedBlocks() in the assembler stream-lifecycle JSDoc.
A turn cancelled mid-stream dropped everything the interrupted step had
streamed: chunks stayed in the log for replay, but no assistant/message
joined the surface, so the next request carried nothing the user had
watched stream. Follow-ups after cancel could not connect and forks
inherited the gap.
Keep the streaming attempt alive across the step's request loop and, when
an abort escapes with the attempt uncommitted, finalize its user-visible
prefix as the step's ordinary assistant/message citing the logged chunk
seqs. BlockAssembler.interruptedBlocks() owns the safe subset next to the
max-tokens rule: closed and open text/reasoning blocks with content, in
stream order; tool calls, empty blocks, and unknown open blocks drop.
Retry clears the attempt first, so an abort after llm/retry finalizes
nothing from the reset stream. Tool-phase cancellation and provider
failures keep their existing shapes.
Address review feedback on PR #1738:
- ReactLoopAgent builds its AgentEventDispatch once in the constructor and
routes every emit/serial/waterfall through it, so hot-path dispatches no
longer allocate a carrier and dispatcher per call; the public carrier
field is gone (fused dispatcher is private).
- agentEvents accepts an optional prebuilt carrier.
- The fused payload builder spreads the payload before the injected agent
so a structurally acceptable payload carrying an agent field can never
override the subject.
- Regenerate doc graphs; re-record core + architecture + affected Agent
Note translation pairs; add payload-object event contract Agent Note.
All agent/* and agent-loop/config-start-failed events take one payload
object carrying the agent subject; waterfall/serial payloads require a
signal and keep next as the final argument. PreStepContext and
RequestFailureContext are unfolded into payloads and retired.
goal/changed follows the same shape so agentEvents keeps its listener
error containment. ReactLoopAgent builds its scope carrier once in the
constructor. Regenerates scope resolvers, tool-cordis api catalog, and
docs catalogs; updates all affected listeners, tests, and the
core-data-structures docs (en + zh).
Move the claimed-message notification loop out of the loop's pre-step
into Inbox.claim(target, turn), so the step-boundary operation publishes
its own claimed notifications like insertions and discards do.
- `relay` resolves its sender in `contextBody` like every other form. It was
the one shape whose marker could claim a form the body did not render: an
unreadable sender fell back inside the body while the row still said relay,
contradicting the contract this PR's own note states.
- `recall` requires the retained, omitted, and truncated fields. Completeness
is what the card exists to report, so a reference that cannot state it is
not a readable recall — showing the label alone presents a confident card
over unknown loss.
- The snapshot body states the supersession its producer framing line carries.
That line is the one part of the model-facing text no section contains, and
unlike an instruction context's `<system-reminder>` it states the form's own
semantics rather than wrapping content.
- `GoalMessageSource` is a discriminated pair, so `{ form: 'notice' }` without
its account no longer compiles. The guarantee this PR claims now holds at
that seam too, not only through `ContextFormed` on plugin sources.
- Goal and tool-goal summaries are bounded by a shared `boundContextSummary`,
which tool-tasks now uses as well. A goal objective is unbounded caller text
in exactly the way a task label is.
- The runtime snapshot interpolates once per request: agent-loop renders the
sections and joins them through `joinContextSections`.
- Every form's fallback branch is pinned, not only the notice one.
Four values complete the vocabulary, so the opaque body is reached only by
producers that genuinely promise no shape.
`snapshot` — current state a later snapshot supersedes. system-prompt now
exposes `renderContextSections()`, the named contributions
`renderContextSnapshot()` already joins for the model, so the body attributes
each part to the subsystem that produced it instead of re-splitting joined
prose. The runtime snapshot, time-context, and tmux-context declare it.
`notice` — a one-off account of what just happened, declared by tool-tasks,
goal state changes, tool-goal wrap-up, plan-mode switches, and
repeat-tool-guard. Its `summary` rides the COLLAPSED row: these five are the
majority of shipped producers and none of them needs expanding to be read.
The task summary bounds itself because its inputs are unbounded caller text.
`relay` — a message another agent addressed to this one; both subagent
sources declare it and the body names the sender above what it said.
`recall` — material lifted from another session's log. session-reference
needed no new field: its references already record retained and omitted
counts and the truncation flag, which the body shows first, because recalled
context is bounded on the way in.
`ContextFormed` is now discriminated by `form`, so a producer cannot declare
a shape without the facts that shape is presented from — a notice without its
summary, or a snapshot without its sections, fails to compile.
Only the two hook bridges stay opaque, by design: their content is whatever
an external program printed, so no shape can be promised for it. Unknown
kinds and unreadable records land there too.
