Two separate schema issues blocked `/plugin marketplace add ./plugins` followed by `/plugin install semantica@semantica-local`: 1. `marketplace.json` was missing the required top-level `owner` object. Claude Code rejects with: `owner: Invalid input: expected object, received undefined`. 2. `plugin.json` declared `"agents": "./agents"` (string), but Claude Code's manifest schema rejects non-array `agents` with: `Validation errors: agents: Invalid input`. Auto-discovery from the default `agents/` directory works when the field is omitted, provided agents are flat `<name>.md` files with frontmatter (Claude Code's subagent convention) rather than `<name>/AGENT.md` subdirectories. Changes: - add `owner` object to `marketplace.json` - drop `agents` field from `plugin.json` (falls back to auto-discovery) - rename `agents/<name>/AGENT.md` -> `agents/<name>.md` (frontmatter content is unchanged, just the path) After this, the documented local-install flow succeeds end-to-end.
Semantica Plugins (Community Guide)
v0.4.0 — 17 domain skills · 3 agents · 8 platform plugins · Knowledge Explorer UI
Semantica ships a shared plugin bundle under plugins/ that works across every major AI coding assistant. Connect any supported platform to Semantica's knowledge graph engine for semantic extraction, decision intelligence, reasoning, provenance, ontology, and export workflows.
Platform Plugins
Semantica provides a dedicated plugin for each platform. Every plugin shares the same skills/, agents/, and hooks/ bundle — only the manifest format differs.

Prerequisites
git clone https://github.com/Hawksight-AI/semantica.git
cd semantica
pip install semantica # Python 3.10+
Knowledge Explorer (v0.4.0)
Launch the interactive graph dashboard:
semantica-explorer --graph my_graph.json --port 8000
Open http://localhost:5174 to explore:
- Graph — interactive canvas with ForceAtlas2 layout, path highlight, community coloring
- Decisions — causal chains and outcome analysis
- Reasoning — run deductive / abductive rules
- SPARQL — Monaco editor for graph queries
- Vocabulary — ontology concept tree
- Lineage — provenance lineage diagram
- Import / Export — JSON, RDF, Parquet, GraphML
Installation by Platform
Claude Code
claude --plugin-dir ./plugins
Or inside a session:
/plugin install ./plugins
Verify:
/semantica:decision list
/semantica:explain decision <decision_id>
Cursor
Cursor reads .cursor-plugin/plugin.json and .cursor-plugin/marketplace.json automatically. Publish the plugins/ directory and refresh in Cursor Marketplace to pick up updates.
Verify:
/semantica:visualize topology
/semantica:reason deductive "IF Person(x) THEN Mortal(x)"
Codex
- Ensure your repo marketplace exists at
.agents/plugins/marketplace.json. - Set
source.pathto./pluginsin the plugin entry. - Restart Codex and install from the marketplace UI.
Verify:
/semantica:causal chain --subject <decision_id> --depth 3
Cline
In Cline MCP settings, add:
{
"semantica": {
"command": "python",
"args": ["-m", "semantica.mcp_server"],
"env": {}
}
}
Windsurf
Add to ~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json:
{
"mcpServers": {
"semantica": {
"command": "python",
"args": ["-m", "semantica.mcp_server"]
}
}
}
Continue
Add to ~/.continue/config.json:
{
"mcpServers": [
{
"name": "semantica",
"command": "python",
"args": ["-m", "semantica.mcp_server"]
}
]
}
All 17 Semantica skills appear in the @semantica context provider dropdown.
OpenClaw
Add to ~/.openclaw/mcporter.json:
{
"mcpServers": {
"semantica": {
"command": "python",
"args": ["-m", "semantica.mcp_server"],
"transport": "stdio"
}
}
}
Then restart the gateway:
openclaw gateway restart
VS Code
Add to settings.json (GitHub Copilot Chat):
{
"github.copilot.chat.mcp.servers": {
"semantica": {
"command": "python",
"args": ["-m", "semantica.mcp_server"]
}
}
}
Or for the VS Code MCP extension:
{
"mcp.servers": {
"semantica": {
"command": "python",
"args": ["-m", "semantica.mcp_server"]
}
}
}
First Commands to Try
After installing on any platform:
/semantica:decision record <category> "<scenario>" "<reasoning>" <outcome> <confidence>
/semantica:decision list
/semantica:causal chain --subject <decision_id> --depth 3
/semantica:explain decision <decision_id>
/semantica:validate graph
/semantica:visualize topology
Community Notes
- Keep
name/version/keywordsupdated in each manifest before publishing. - Keep skill frontmatter (
name+description) consistent for reliable discovery. - Include
plugins/as-is when sharing — skills, agents, and hooks must stay bundled.
